Ziaur Rahman actively engaged in teaching at private universities in Bangladesh. Currently, Adjunct Faculty at the Dept. of Business, Independent University, Bangladesh at the EMBA program teaching Strategic Management. I have also been guest faculty at Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka at the Executive MBA program. I have taught at the Department of Business of various Universities in Bangladesh (Independent University, Bangladesh, University of Asia Pacific, East West University, Manarat International University) especially in the field of Strategic Management, Marketing Management, Statistics, Financial Derivatives, Business Communication, International Business, etc. I am also with NSU at the Department of Environmental Science & Management as an Adjunct Associate Professor teaching a class CORPORATE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT and previously had been invited to NSU as guest speaker. Particular focus is on Leadership Development, Organizational Development, Designing the ECO- Friendly and Sustainable organization, Corporate Compliance and Legal matters, Strategic HR, etc. As an Advocate also undertake legal matters/drafting/cases/assessments, etc. Have been a guest faculty at NSU at their change management initiative under the Post Graduate Studies program for civil servants of Bangladesh (Senior Asst Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries) and have been invited as guest faculty to AIUB & BRAC University. I have a strong orientation on field level studies focusing on SMEs and market value chains. I am also an Advocate with a focus on civil and company law.I also conduct professional training cum mentor and coach on communication, attitude and behavioural change, mindset mapping, process change with particular emphasis on introducing change parameters. Have conducted workshop on team building, motivation and leadership. Have specialized partnership brokering training and have facilitated negotiation/arbitration sessions with HR organizations and their staff and between various stakeholders. I am currently coaching and mentoring two senior level executives/proprietors of group of companies having a few million-dollar sales per year. I have been instrumental in championing a forum called Citizens Open Forum (COF) where are focusing on nurturing and developing leaders in society including leadership in the political process encompassing the spirit of democracy and social justice. The forum also believes in peace, harmony, social justice and in creating a sustainable community, nation and world. I am also involved with LIFE (Leadership in Friendly Education) – a nationwide program to bring young adults to connect to education that is friendly and exciting.Since my academic career in Bangladesh, I have had the privilege of being a course teacher at the Department of Business Administration at both BBA and MBA level and have taught at least 900 students over a span of 17 years.
